The unborn child of Josh and Kate made a minor appearance at the end of Rise of Nightmares. Though Josh was unaware of Kate's pregnancy, she was about to tell him during their holiday in Romania in an attempts to patch up their failing marriage. Viktor kidnapped Kate in order to use her and the child's O Zhuvindo (life force) to resurrect his late wife, Mary. Josh fought Mary and emerged victorious, saving both his wife and child.
