The Young Couple[]
"A young couple was held in a cell. The girl, who has mystifying eyes, was beaten down by fatigue. She leaned against the solidly built young man. He was bleeding, perhaps from torture. Their cell door was impossible to open. I lied that I would get help for them and fled. The girl turned those strange eyes on me then. It felt as if she were seeing through me. But I can't save them. I must save myself. I fear they will be transformed like the others."
